Which women/woman inspire(s) you and why?
There isn’t one or two in particular, but if you’re a woman who stands up for what you believe in, helps others without making a song or dance about it, and remains polite to others along the way, then you inspire me, there are too few people like this remaining.
What did you want to do when you grew up?
Ok, so it wasn’t your usual – Ballerina, doctor, fire(wo)man. I wanted to be a PA!! I honestly have no clue where I got it from, but it stuck with me. I did my work experience at School as a PA, and all these years later, as well as the photography, I’m also a PA to the directors of a compliance firm.
If you had to give your younger self one bit of advice, what would it be?
Just go for it! And don’t always try to please other people. I’ve waited until I’m 32 to do something I LOVE! And whilst I don’t regret anything I’ve done in my life; I wish I would have started on this path a little earlier.
What book are you currently reading? And what is your favourite book?
I tend to mix it up between listening to audio books and reading, especially when I’m driving between shoots. My most recent is a book called Period Power by Maisie Hill. I listened to the audio book and loved it so much I then got it out at the library, but it’s a book I’ll go to over and over again, so I’ve ended up buying it. I really do recommend it, especially if you’d like to understand a little more about what’s going on in our bodies. I’ve struggled with quite severe PMS and this has opened my eyes on how to help me.
Where would you recommend dinner and drinks in Liverpool?
Being totally honest, I’m a real home bird and don’t tend to go out much. But when I do, we usually head to TGI’s in Liverpool One. The food and cocktails are always amazing.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Reality TV. For the 8 weeks that Love Island was on, I loved that I would pause my life for an hour at 9pm and then at 10pm jump on the group chat with the girls to dissect the episode.
What is happiness to you?
Cliché, but spending time with my family. My boyfriend (Simon) and my pug Archie always know how to make me smile. So, my happiest days are when I’m cuddled up on the couch with them both watching cheesy films.
